Denise teaches students of all ages and of all musical backgrounds. She focuses on teaching the fundamental skills as well as catering to the students’ own interests and needs. Denise is trained to teach Classical, Celtic, Jazz and Pop music.
The best time to start learning the harp differs for each student, but most people start at the age of 7+ since harp is a very physical demanding instrument that takes a lot of practice to master.
Weekly lessons are usually 45 minutes long, but 30 minutes and 60 minutes are also available depending on how much a student want to take on every week.
It is recommended that beginners start with a small lever harp and as they get more advanced, they can switch to a semi-concert or a pedal harp. Denise can help you with renting or purchasing a harp that is right for you!

How do online lesson work?
Once you have chosen what type of lessons you want, I will send you a calendar booking system where you can book your own lesson time slot. I am available conducting lesson through Skype / Zoom / Facetime, whatever works best for you!
Can I sign up for lessons even if I am not in Canada?
Absolutely! A lot of my students online are from around the world! The calendar booking system I have automatically adjust to your timezone, so it is easy and convenient for the both of us.
